This book offers a systematic review of the feature-rich essential properties in emergent silicene-related materials, covering mainstream theoretical and experimental research. It includes a wide range of layered systems; namely, few-layer silicene, sliding bilayer silicene, H-, holagen-, Na-, Mg-, Al-doped silicene, C-, B-, N-substituted silicene, and silicene with Ag substrate. The critical factors involving these systems are considered simultaneously. Both multiorbital chemical bondings and spin-orbit coupling, which dominates the diverse phenomena, are explored in detail.
