Dr. Vinay KumarDepartment of Biotechnology, Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Ganeshkhind, Pune 411016, India Dr. Vinay Kumar is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, Modern College (Savitribai Phule Pune University), Ganeshkhind, Pune, India and a Visiting Faculty at the Department of Environmental Sciences, S. P. Pune University, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2009. He has published more than 75 peer reviewed research/ review articles, 30 book chapters and has edited 7 books in collaboration with international publishers. He has around 5000 citations with h-index of 35. He is a recipient of Young Scientist Award of Science and Engineering Board, Government of India, INSA Visiting Scientist Award from the Indian National Science Academy. He is editorial board member of prestigious research journals. Besides, he isserving as a reviewer for several international journals of repute. His research interests include antimicrobial resistance in nosocomial and community settings, elucidating molecular mechanisms underlying antimicrobial resistance and combating it with natural products and functionalized nanomaterials. Dr. Varsha ShriramDepartment of Botany, Prof. Ramkrishna More College, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Akurdi, Pune 411044, India Dr. Varsha Shriram is working as a Professor in the Department of Botany, Prof. Ramkrishna More College (Savitribai Phule Pune University), Akurdi, Pune, India. She has completed her PhD in natural products chemistry and biotechnology from CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India and Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India. She has published more than 40 peer-reviewed research/review articles and is on reviewer board for reputed journals and funding agencies like Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India. Her areas of research interest include medicinal plants, isolation and identification of phytochemicals, their activity studies including anticancer and antimicrobial, antimicrobial resistance and underlying mechanisms, and antimicrobial resistance reversal with phytochemicals.
