Über den Autor Slavoj Zizek

Slavoj Zizek, geboren am 21. März 1949 in Ljubljana, ist Philosoph, Kulturkritiker und Theoretiker der Psychoanalyse. Er hat zahlreiche Gastprofessuren im Ausland inne, unter anderem an der Columbia University, in New York und in Princeton. Bekannt geworden ist er durch die Weiterentwicklung der Psychoanalyse Lacans in das Feld der Populärkultur und Gesellschaftskritik. Zudem setzte er sich mit Hegel und Marx, Poststrukturalismus, Medientheorie, Feminismus und Cultural Studies auseinander. Zizek zählt zu den bedeutendsten Philosophen unserer Zeit.
