Über den Autor Melissa Mcclone

Melissa war schon immer ein Fan von Märchen und Geschichten mit Happy End. Doch bis ihre Englischlehrerin Liebesromane im Unterricht thematisierte, hatte sie das Genre noch nicht für sich entdeckt. Aber danach hatte sie eine neue Leidenschaft. Überflüssig zu sagen, dass sie ihrer Lehrerin auf ewig dafür dankbar ist. Nach ihrem Universitätsabschluss in Maschinenbau an der Stanford Universität erforschte Melissa das Leistungsvermögen von Flugzeugtriebwerken, und ihre Vorliebe für Liebesromane wurde immer stärker. Eines Tages entschloss sie sich, endlich den Versuch zu wagen, einen Roman zu verfassen. Leichter gesagt als getan. Doch sie lernte schnell und gab nicht auf. Sehr bald wurde das Schreiben zu einer Leidenschaft, und die wenigen Stunden in der Mittagspause und abends, in denen sie dafür Zeit fand, reichten ihr nicht mehr aus. Erst als ihr Ehemann sie anspornte und ihr seine Unterstützung versicherte, traute sie sich, ihren jahrelangen Traum von einer Karriere als professionelle Schriftstellerin zu verfolgen.
